It is essential that everybody does their part to  be a good citizen, whether you are donating your time\/money to a charity or you help an elderly person cross the street, a little goes a long way. For example people would say that obeying the laws of your country makes you a good citizen. But if some of those laws are harmful to specific groups of people, and the citizen is aware of its negative and undeserved effects, being a good citizen could mean speaking out against the injustice or in some cases disobey the law on the books. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nTo make these decisions it is necessary for a good citizen to be properly informed and not rash. This requires political engagement and a sense of universal morals.
